Michael is the leader of ECG’s Performance Transformation Division. He has 30 years of experience in healthcare operations and finance. His focus is on assisting national and regional healthcare organizations in implementing enterprise-wide margin improvement programs and developing transformational market and positioning strategies. Michael serves as a business adviser and provides strategic planning and growth advice to many of the nation’s largest integrated delivery networks, physician management companies, private equity groups, and national health insurers. He puts solutions into practice in the areas of operations and performance improvement, revenue cycle, supply chain, clinical documentation, and productivity.
Throughout his career, Michael has delivered over $3 billion in expense reductions and revenue enhancements for his clients. Michael’s summary of expertise includes sustained operational, supply chain, and profitability improvement; organizational redesign, including corporate, executive, and board governance; managed care contracting strategies, including risk feasibility; health system integration (pre- and postmerger); physician alignment strategies; IT implementation and design; and foreign and domestic health policy.
